Great day here in the mother city. Warm blue skies, no wind, amazing for the middle of winter.
returned from extra math lessons with Melissa and Thandi to find Josh and Carol at my place, with Josh wanting to go fishing in the river near Otto's house. So Carol brought some bread and Josh rummaged around for some lures in the hope of a bass. Drove off with high expectations of at least catching a carp, funny how driving off to fish i always have high expectations with visions of big fish running around my imagination. I always catch carp, but tried for two hours to no avail, not even a bite. Tried tipping for barbel is that is the right expression, threw lures for Bass, but not even a sign or glimpse of something. Maybe some chicken livers for the barbel would work. Carp might have gone to deeper water for winter.
